Equipment

  • 1 Bucket with lid (A 5-gallon bucket is preferred.)

Ingredients
  

  • 28 oz. Instant Rice (Any brand will do.)
  • 3 oz. Liquid Butter and Nut Flavoring (Any brand will do.)
  • 12 oz. Water (Non-chlorine preferred.)
  • 3 Medium Egg Yolks (No shell.)
  • 1/2 Cup Kosher Salt (Non-iodized.)
  • 1/2 Jar Peach Baby Food (Or 1 small jar.)

Instructions
 

  • Bring the 12 ounces of water to a boil.
  • Turn off the heat. Then pour the Salt, Liquid Flavor and Baby Food into the water and mix well.
  • Pour the 28 ounces of Instant Rice into the bucket.
  • Pour the liquid mixture into the bucket with the rice and mix well.
  • Place the lid on the bucket and wait 1 hour.
  • After 1 hour, remove lid then add 3 egg yolks and fluff the bait.
  • Then replace the lid and wait about 10 more minutes and it should be ready to use.

Notes

Be careful when heating or boiling ingredients!
This is a really nice smelling bait that works pretty well.  The egg additive helps bind the bait and sometimes can make the difference.  If the bait starts to dry out, just add 1 egg and re-fluff.  I have used this bait on several occasions with pretty good success when the carp are hitting rice.
