  • 1 Large Bowl (For mixing corn and Kool-Aid.)

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs. Trout Chow by Purina (Size number 2 or 3 will do.)
  • 1 Cup Dibbie Scratch (Cracked field corn, same thing.)
  • 1 Cup Corn Meal
  • 14.75 oz. Cream Corn (1 can.)
  • 15 oz. Whole Kernel Sweet Corn (1 can, undrained.)

Instructions

  • Place the chow, Dibbie scratch and corn meal in the bucket and mix by hand.
  • Mix the cream corn, whole kernel corn and two packs of Kool-Aid in a bowl to get a good red color. Don't drain any of it.
  • Then add all parts together into the bucket and mix very well by hand. You may add 1 more pack of Kool-Aid if you really want to.
  • Place the lid on the bucket and wait 1 hour, 2 hours is probably better for it to set up.
  • Then open lid, fluff and use. Happy Carping!

Notes

This is a great carp bait recipe when the carp are feeding on chow.  It will catch catfish as well.  I used this bait on May 20th, 2014, at Perry's Carp Lake in Gaffney, SC and caught 6 carp, including the large caught that day at 23.5 pounds.  Very good bait.
